Review: Salon de San Lorenzo- Hair Rebond

Hey, i'm back! How have you all been? I know i got a lot of things to make up to. To begin with, i just had my hair rebonded this morning. It's my first ever experience to hair rebond. I've never undegone a hair treatment before except for a simple hot oil. And it was so looooooong ago.

By the way, here's my hair pre-rebond;

As per cliche, the hair is a woman's crowning glory. Sadly, mine was an awful glory. It was literally dry, frizzy and tangled.  But even so, i never thought of  undergoing a hair rebonding treatment. I was scared my hair would even be damaged.

Well, not until i chance upon this deal. Deals are so addicting and tempting. So yeah,, i was tempted to get  this deal of hair rebonding treatment. The highlights got me interested.

Highlights
  • Get a new look with shinier, straighter, healthy-looking hair
  • Suitable for both normal hair and colored hair, men and women
  • For all hair lengths (short, medium, long and even super-long)
  • Get the hair that glam rock legends could only ever have dreamt of, including the hair cut
  • Ultimate salvation for tangled-up, stressed-out, and chemically damaged hair
  • Enjoy a wonderful hot oil treatment for your hair, making them even shinier and silky

A day before my hair treatment, i called at salon de san lorenzo to make an appointment because a friend of mine told me they're fully booked as early as now. As expected, the salon's attendant who received my call, inform me that they are indeed fully booked until the month of January. But i insisted greatly to book me earlier than that (probably by Dec or this month, November). She told me to call back by 6pm to know if there's someone who'll gonna cancel her appointment then i'll be the one to take her place.. So when i called back she did booked me for an appointment the very next day. Needless to say, someone had cancelled an appointment or sdsl just made the-fully-book-thing up. Well, i don't care.

Upon arrival at the salon the next day, i received a text from the salon's staff reminding me of my appointment that if i arrived one hour from scheduled appointment the voucher will definitely be forfeited. Oopps, network traffic i guess. The receptionist is quite accommodating. She handed me a form which i filled up with my personal details and signed the agreement chorva...

Two beki hairstylists did my hair rebonding treatment. After assessing my hair type and hair condition the next process is the application of hair strengthening ( i asked the beki everytime he's gonna put up something on my hair, it's my first rebonding experience so i really don't have any idea about its process) Then rinse. Then blow dry. Then iron. Next part, is the application of neutralizer (that's what he told me) Then rinse again, blow dry and iron. Last part is the hair cut. I don't like how the stylist did the hair cutting right away without even asking a permission to do so or without even asking me what style i want for my hair to be done.

Another thing, i was already at home when i remembered i was suppose to have a hot oil treatment aside from rebonding. It's included in my voucher. I don't know if they have also forgotten about it or they did it on purpose since i also didn't noticed it when i was there :(.

Overall, i like my hair's new transformation. It was really smooth, shiny and very light. Love it. I just hope it would really stay this way for months or so.

Here's my beautiful hair post-rebond;

P.s  The treatment process took 4 hours.

Earthy Look

My Makeup Personality:  Earthy

Note: This is not me. How i wish I was as pretty as her :)
I took the quiz for "What's you inner make up look?" and got this result...

“Classic,” “practical,” and “no-frills” are words that perfectly describe your personality. It's not that you don't have a sense of adventure; you just like surrounding yourself with familiar, comforting things. Within your inner circle, you're seen as the voice of reason—you may tolerate your friends' crazy ideas, but you're also there to bring them down to earth before things get out of hand.

The makeup look that suits you? Why, the "no makeup" look, of course! Clean, luminous skin, lush lashes, a rosy glow, and natural lips characterize this. Think of it as an enhanced version of your bare face—a fresh, girl-next-door vibe, if you will. Go for long-lasting products in natural shades so you won't have to worry about constantly reapplying makeup throughout the day. You have other things to worry about, after all!

*** True enough.  I only go for a 'natural look'  whenever i go out or attending some events. Just a simple dub of powder on my face, eyelash-curled, a little blush on and put some pink lippie then off i go. It's not that i don't want putting heavy make up on but it is because i don't know how to. I am yet to try it, one of these days as per hubby's request :)

If you want to know what's your makeup personality.. Go ahead and take this quiz.

PF- Pink Nail Art

It's Pink Fridays. Glad that i am able to join again this week.. and hopefully it continues every week. I missed doing memes. I'm quite busy with everything. My lil princess has grown up so fast and now she has lots of demands. I can't seem to stay online for long.

Anyway,  here's my entry for this week. I had my first (self-made) nail art. And guess what, it turns out cute. Not bad for a first timer. hehe Though i am yet to master putting colored nail polish well so it won't look blowsy. Overall, i'm quite satisfied with my first-nail-art-attempt.

Fingernails... taken from a phone's cam.. (the color looks fuchsia here but its actually pink)

Happy PF girls. Happy Weekend as well.

    GT- I'm a Techie Momma

    I missed this meme last week because we've been out of town for the holy week. So now, here's my entry for GT this week which talks about Gadgets. Oh well, what can i say? I married a super techie man who gets whatever (or almost every) latest gadgets there is in the market. Now i also became one when he started giving me latest gadgets too as a gift. I am just so thankful for everything i had now. Much more thankful for a very generous husband *wink.

    Since we're talking about being techie here, i now chanced to brag my tech properties. They're all so dear to me. Each of them has a special role which makes my everyday life lighter and cooler.

    DSLR Camera.- One of my greatest hobby is to take pictures of everything beautiful i laid my eyes upon on. I am no professional when it comes to this field but everything can be brought by a better practice to make my every shots looks fairly amazing. If given a chance i want it for a career. Someday i wish to upgrade into a D3x (nikon) or probably a 60D or those Mark series(canon) for a professional, perfect documentation.

    Apple IPAD- This was bought by hubby in the U.S. (as well as the dslr). It's portable and what i love when using it is that i can still browse the net or play my favorite games even while lying on my back or sideways. Just a little touch here and tap there. Easy. But now, my kids used it more often esp. Keilah for some Barney show and Dora games..

    My Netbook- This is my bestfriend among all my gadgets. Because i use it everyday, every hour, every minute and every second. In short, ALL the time! I get to keep up with my relatives, chat with my friends, get some knowledge that i want, work at home, do almost everything with just a simple click. One click keeps my boredom away!

    Apple Ipod touch- I got it as a gift from hubby on my 26th birthday. It's my companion for my every travel esp. for the long hours travel. I love music. By listening to it, lessens my boredom while on the road.

    My phone- I have a simcard of every network; (smart, globe, sun) to easily reach out to my friends and relatives from afar. I chose this phone because it's dual sim and also dual active.Meaning, i can receive calls and texts from family or friends at the same time. I also don't have to use separate phones anymore because with this phone with just a flick of a button, the phone switches automatically between sim cards. Nice!

    Some of the gadgets i/we also use everyday:
    * MAC notebook-- hubby's
    * PSP
    * Nintendo DS
    * Samsung Lcd TV and home theater
    * Sony Lcd TV
    * Playstation 2
    * Karaoke (Sing-along)

    Whoa! I never thought we had a lot of gadgets at home. So that's what makes me a Techie momma :)

    GT: Not Just a Pretty Face

    Last week is all about the mouth-watering foods so for this week let's talk about celebrity. I got several celebrities on my lists but for this entry my pick is Taylor Swift. I admire her for having not just a pretty face but also of being such a very talented gal. I love how she plays guitar really well. (I can also play a guitar but not that really good as her.. so therefore i conclude, Practice really makes perfect! did you get the connection? LOL) Well anyway, Taylor is a good singer too. Her songs have always been a hit. Her albums have earned numerous awards in music industry. I just simply love Taylor Swift.

    Pink Fridays- Pink Dora Sandals

    It's Friday once again! As for my PF's entry today, its my little explorer's Pink Dora crocs- inspired sandals. Lately when she started walking all by herself and have also started exploring. Now she can't get enough of it. I can sometimes find her walking towards the door (of our room) heading outside carrying her sandals or shoes. And when i asked her where is she heading to, she would take a pause for a while then will wave on me (Ms.universe-wave).. haha What a naughty little girl! We just bought her those sandals a week ago to give space to her old-over-used shoes. Now it's her walking-buddy and she loves it.

    Have a nice weekend, girls! :)

    GT- Food To Die For

    I missed GT meme for a couple of weeks ago so here's a catch-up-entry for this week's theme which is Food to die for:
    A plate of tempura shrimp
    Tempura is a Japanese dish of shrimp or other seafood or fish or vegetables dipped in batter and deep-fried. It is usually accompanied by a certain tempura sauce. Yummy! Now, i'm starving.. haha  I love tempura very much.  It's my fave among all the seafoods from Seaside Paluto. So who don't like tempura? You can pass it on my plate.. lol

    credit: philippines-food.msg-style.com
    Another food to die for is the Filipino food- Laing cooked by my mom or by me. hehe I'm a native of Bicol so i really should know how to cook it. Mom taught me how to. It's her specialty and i may have to say that she really is a good cook (as well as my granny, aunts and uncles) So, i guess it runs in our blood. Ooopps... i'm not saying that i am a good cook too (i have tried cooking some dish and somehow they're edible..haha and has been approved by other people's taste) It's just that i really wish i can be a good cook just like them.

     * I actually got more foods to die for... but i hope this two would be enough to make you crave for more..lol
