Girls Talk- Grocery Shopping

Gosh! It's been ages since i last updated this blog. Well anyway, am back. Alive and kicking. And since it's also the first week of the month, we got a new theme at GT. I so missed this meme. I didn't joined the previous month for the mere reason that i just can't relate to its topic which is about books. Sad to say, i rarely read books nowadays. But i love books i just don't have time to read.

Back to GT, our theme for this month is what every women loves doing... Shopping! You guess it right. So for this week we'll be talking about groceries. I do grocery shopping at least 3 times a month. We don't live in our own home yet, so i don't have to shop more to fill-in the fridge. I usually buy groceries which are really essential and will only supply our daily needs. My son, used to ride in a shopping trolley whenever we shop for groceries but now that he's a big boy already, he would rather push the cart than ride on it.. hehe

So what's in my grocery shopping list?
* Formula Milk for Klyne and Keilah (both Gain)
* Diapers for Keilah
* Distilled water
* Yakult
* Gardenia bread
* Sandwich spread
* Tender juicy hotdog
* Toiletries (soap, shampoo, tissue, toothpaste etc)
* Egg
* Some junk food (which is commonly called as "kutkutin") and some sweets (chocolates)
* Biscuits or Cupcake
* Koko Crunch (for Klyne)
* Jellyace with nata

I think that would be all... I'm sure my grocery shopping list (and budget too) will be doubled or even tripled once we move in already. I just can't wait. Shopping would even be more fun by then.

How about you? What's in your grocery list?

This year, the Philippines Society  of General Surgeons (PSGS) Metro Manila Chapter is holding a fund-raising race event entitled: The Pink Run: D'feeting Breast Cancer which main objective is to help people detect earlier the presence of breast cancer and aims to help prevent the loss of lives due to this killer disease.
I will not let breast cancer hurt my family that's why i'll be joing this running event on October 17, 2010 which will be taking place at the Venice Piazza Mall, Mckinley Hill, Taguig City.

Maybelline Watershine Pure Lipstick

I am currently hooked on pink lippies. My current fave is Maybelline Watershine Pure P24. Bought it several months ago for a very affordable price -Php249 or $6 less. I super lurve it. It works perfect which moisturizes my super dry and chappy lips- (read as ridiculous). I also love the texture and its sheer effect which gives my lips a sweet light shade of pink. Love it. However, it needs a constant retouch since it doesn't last for much longer. Well for me, it wasn't a big prob. So it's ok to re-apply whenever i need to do so.

So why spend big bucks on products when you can find cheap deals with almost the same quality?

Are you a slave to Fashion?

Often times, fashion can be uncomfortable and even unflattering. Some women prefers to suffer and be a slave to fashion just to be on- trend. No matter how uncomfortable and unpleasant the consequences is. Like for instance, those  too-tight jeans that can make your groin itch and then later on will give you a rash. The super tight dresses that you can hardly breath on them. And the super high stilletos also known as the killer heels, which can cause blisters, swelling, ingrown toe nails and even more serious foot damage.
But being fashionable doesn't need to be unbearable and painful. If you're not comfortable with your style there are many other fashionable options. Instead of stilletos, try wearing flats such as ballet flats, sandals and even sneakers. With dresses and jeans, go for not so tight yet emphasizes your womanly shape, that way you can still look sexy. Looking good doesn't have to make you feel bad. You don't need to suffer for the sake of fashion.  Don't just go with uncomfortable style just to be on the latest trend. After all, fashion should be fun. Choose your style wisely. Always be yourself  and you'll definitey look your best. *wink

Girls Talk- Colors & Me

I missed this meme. It's been several weeks since i haven't joined. I miss gt but i miss my fellow girl talkers more. So i'm here to catch up. I'll be catching up for this month's theme which is Colors and Me.

Let me start off with this week's theme: Black

Most of my stuffs that are in black were mostly fashion accessories and gadgets such as my fave toy , phones and my bestie. My shoes are mostly black too..

I only own a few of black clothes except with tights or leggings and undergarments coz i have a lot of them :)

Here's my current fave stuff in black: Chanel chain bag

Green

Honestly i only own a couple of green stuff. Am not into this color when it comes to stuff. But what i love about green is because i love nature. I am just so amazed by God's creations. "Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises". - Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Purple

I also love this color preferably lavender. Here's my fave purple dress:

Red

If you have already read my previous gt posts, you may have probably know that my fave color is RED aside from Pink.  Most of my stuffs if not in pink they're in Red esp. when it comes to clothing and fashion accessories.

Tips To Make your Hair Grow Faster!

I so missed my long hair already. It's been almost a year since my last hair cut, but it seems like it only grows a tiny bit. Now i feel anxious about my hair's sluggish growing, i want my long hair back. Please! But how am i going to do that? How can i make my hair grow faster?

I searched on the net and here's what i found. (Bnet)

***Step 1) Cut your hair. The secret to long hair? Strong hair. And that means getting rid of all damaged ends. So, believe it or not, your first step is to suck it up and head to the salon for a good snip. How much is enough? Unless your hair is very thick or very curly, have the stylist trim until your hair is all one length (as short as the shortest layer in your hair). All-one-length hair stays healthier and that means you can grow it without having as many trims from here on out. Thick- or curly-haired girls will want to keep a few long layers to help weigh hair down. You don't want to look like a mushroom-head as your hair grows out.

***(Step 2)
Give yourself a head rush. Kick your hair follicles (and hair growth) into high gear by increasing circulation to your head. How? One, get more exercise so your heart is pumping (yet another reason to get up off the couch). Two, flip your head upside-down once a day, brushing your hair from roots to ends (use a natural boar bristle brush to prevent breakage). Three, massage your scalp daily, using your fingertips. You can do this while you are shampooing or just sitting around watching TV. It feels really good!

(Step 3) Eat right. "You know That expression "You are what you eat"? Well, it happens to be true. Hair can only stay long and healthy if you eat well-balanced meals. Foods rich in vitamin A (dairy products, fish, spinach, apricots), vitamin B (meat, fish, bananas, leafy green veggies), vitamin C (citrus, melon, tomatoes and potatoes) and vitamin E (nuts, broccoli, whole grains) are essential for truly healthy hair. Feel like eating a steak tonight? Perfect. Red meat is rich in iron and zinc, two nutrients proven to help your hair grow its fastest.

(Step 4) Stress less. Studies show that hair actually grows slower when you are stressed to the max. Your hair also needs a good night's sleep. So chill out, and get some shut-eye already.

(Step 5) Keep your hair clean. Oily roots and product build-up can clog follicles and prevent your hair from growing as quickly as possible--the max is about a half-inch per month. So be sure to shampoo daily (or even more often if you work out) and give your hairbrush a weekly cleansing so you don't rebrush in old dirt and oil.

(Step 6) Be kind to your hair. The longer your hair is, the older it is. So treat it with the respect it deserves. When you lather up, use gentle shampoos formulated for your hair type. Treat your locks once a week to a leave-in conditioner or hair mask. And try to lay off your blow-dryer, hot curlers and flat iron as much as possible. Throwing your hair up in a ponytail to disguise growing-out layers? Be careful not to pull too tight--you'll risk breaking your hair. Yikes.

(Step 7) Get regular trims. After eight weeks, your hair could be up to an inch longer. So don't leave all that hard-earned length on the salon floor. Ask your stylist to snip no more than an eighth of an inch, just to get rid of any split ends and end your above-the-shoulders hair rut forever.

The design drew inspiration from the ceremonial costume of a royal elephant combined with the costume of a court lady during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. The Thai silk pantaloons were fitted at the calves, and worn with white stockings and a flowing shoulder cloth. The fitted blouse had one puffed sleeve that resembled the ear of an elephant, while a gold fan in her other hand represented the other ear.

Girls Talk- Emotionally

I'm a very transparent person when it comes to my emotions. It's like saying what you see is what you get. You'll know when i'm happy, sad or mad. I'm just not good at hiding my true feelings. No matter how i try, it still show. I laugh when i'm happy, frown when i'm sad and mad. I even tend to yell and throw away things when i'm really in a fume. Gggrrr!

I'm very impatient, short-tempered and hasty. I don't like repeating things or words over and over again. I'm tough and hard as a rock. But i can be emotional when it comes to my family and very close friends. I'm not a crybaby. Though i cry over a sad movies at times. I don't easily forget and forgive on condition that i'm deeply hurt.

Generally speaking, i get more emotional and a tendency of mood swings particularly before and during my monthly period. Women thing that is!

So now, you'll probably know me already... emotionally.
