Ximena Navarrete, 22, Miss Mexico is crowned Miss Universe 2010 and becomes the 59th Miss Universe. The pageant was held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada USA last Aug. 23, 2010. ^ Best in National costume: Miss ThailandHer costume was named ``Siam Aiyara'', deriving from the elephant that is a symbol of Thailand. The design drew inspiration from the ceremonial costume of a royal elephant combined with the costume of a court lady during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. The Thai silk pantaloons were fitted at the calves, and worn with white stockings and a flowing shoulder cloth. The fitted blouse had one puffed sleeve that resembled the ear of an elephant, while a gold fan in her other hand represented the other ear.

She's gorgeous. I used to watch these shows when I was younger ith my parents. Your post brought back some fun memories :)
