GT: My Birthday Trivia

Gosh! I was so outdated. I've been so busy with something. (I have yet to reveal that "something" because we're still working on it, i promise i will reveal it as soon as the first progress :) Okay so back in here, i have missed several weeks already (finally, i have time to be able to join again.. hoorah!) and am kinda late for this post but i don't wanna miss this month's new theme in GT which is a birthday trivia. Meaning any events and holidays that actually happened during our birth date.

So as for my birthday which is DEC. 8. I have found this infos via google.

As we all know, Dec 8 is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. ( I should have been named- Maria Immaculada Concepcion or MIC for short.. haha)

GT- I'm a Techie Momma

I missed this meme last week because we've been out of town for the holy week. So now, here's my entry for GT this week which talks about Gadgets. Oh well, what can i say? I married a super techie man who gets whatever (or almost every) latest gadgets there is in the market. Now i also became one when he started giving me latest gadgets too as a gift. I am just so thankful for everything i had now. Much more thankful for a very generous husband *wink.

Since we're talking about being techie here, i now chanced to brag my tech properties. They're all so dear to me. Each of them has a special role which makes my everyday life lighter and cooler.

DSLR Camera.- One of my greatest hobby is to take pictures of everything beautiful i laid my eyes upon on. I am no professional when it comes to this field but everything can be brought by a better practice to make my every shots looks fairly amazing. If given a chance i want it for a career. Someday i wish to upgrade into a D3x (nikon) or probably a 60D or those Mark series(canon) for a professional, perfect documentation.

Apple IPAD- This was bought by hubby in the U.S. (as well as the dslr). It's portable and what i love when using it is that i can still browse the net or play my favorite games even while lying on my back or sideways. Just a little touch here and tap there. Easy. But now, my kids used it more often esp. Keilah for some Barney show and Dora games..

My Netbook- This is my bestfriend among all my gadgets. Because i use it everyday, every hour, every minute and every second. In short, ALL the time! I get to keep up with my relatives, chat with my friends, get some knowledge that i want, work at home, do almost everything with just a simple click. One click keeps my boredom away!

Apple Ipod touch- I got it as a gift from hubby on my 26th birthday. It's my companion for my every travel esp. for the long hours travel. I love music. By listening to it, lessens my boredom while on the road.

My phone- I have a simcard of every network; (smart, globe, sun) to easily reach out to my friends and relatives from afar. I chose this phone because it's dual sim and also dual active.Meaning, i can receive calls and texts from family or friends at the same time. I also don't have to use separate phones anymore because with this phone with just a flick of a button, the phone switches automatically between sim cards. Nice!

GT: Not Just a Pretty Face

Last week is all about the mouth-watering foods so for this week let's talk about celebrity. I got several celebrities on my lists but for this entry my pick is Taylor Swift. I admire her for having not just a pretty face but also of being such a very talented gal. I love how she plays guitar really well. (I can also play a guitar but not that really good as her.. so therefore i conclude, Practice really makes perfect! did you get the connection? LOL) Well anyway, Taylor is a good singer too. Her songs have always been a hit. Her albums have earned numerous awards in music industry. I just simply love Taylor Swift.

GT- Food To Die For

I missed GT meme for a couple of weeks ago so here's a catch-up-entry for this week's theme which is Food to die for:

A plate of tempura shrimp

Tempura is a Japanese dish of shrimp or other seafood or fish or vegetables dipped in batter and deep-fried. It is usually accompanied by a certain tempura sauce. Yummy! Now, i'm starving.. haha  I love tempura very much.  It's my fave among all the seafoods from Seaside Paluto. So who don't like tempura? You can pass it on my plate.. lol

Another food to die for is the Filipino food- Laing cooked by my mom or by me. hehe I'm a native of Bicol so i really should know how to cook it. Mom taught me how to. It's her specialty and i may have to say that she really is a good cook (as well as my granny, aunts and uncles) So, i guess it runs in our blood. Ooopps... i'm not saying that i am a good cook too (i have tried cooking some dish and somehow they're edible..haha and has been approved by other people's taste) It's just that i really wish i can be a good cook just like them.

Girls Talk- Grocery Shopping

Gosh! It's been ages since i last updated this blog. Well anyway, am back. Alive and kicking. And since it's also the first week of the month, we got a new theme at GT. I so missed this meme. I didn't joined the previous month for the mere reason that i just can't relate to its topic which is about books. Sad to say, i rarely read books nowadays. But i love books i just don't have time to read.

Back to GT, our theme for this month is what every women loves doing... Shopping! You guess it right. So for this week we'll be talking about groceries. I do grocery shopping at least 3 times a month. We don't live in our own home yet, so i don't have to shop more to fill-in the fridge. I usually buy groceries which are really essential and will only supply our daily needs. My son, used to ride in a shopping trolley whenever we shop for groceries but now that he's a big boy already, he would rather push the cart than ride on it.. hehe

So what's in my grocery shopping list?

* Formula Milk for Klyne and Keilah (both Gain)
* Diapers for Keilah
* Distilled water
* Yakult
* Gardenia bread
* Sandwich spread
* Tender juicy hotdog
* Toiletries (soap, shampoo, tissue, toothpaste etc)
* Egg
* Some junk food (which is commonly called as "kutkutin") and some sweets (chocolates)
* Biscuits or Cupcake
* Koko Crunch (for Klyne)
* Jellyace with nata

I think that would be all... I'm sure my grocery shopping list (and budget too) will be doubled or even tripled once we move in already. I just can't wait. Shopping would even be more fun by then.

Girls Talk- Colors & Me

I missed this meme. It's been several weeks since i haven't joined. I miss gt but i miss my fellow girl talkers more. So i'm here to catch up. I'll be catching up for this month's theme which is Colors and Me.

Let me start off with this week's theme: Black

Most of my stuffs that are in black were mostly fashion accessories and gadgets such as my fave toy , phones and my bestie. My shoes are mostly black too..

I only own a few of black clothes except with tights or leggings and undergarments coz i have a lot of them :)

Green

Honestly i only own a couple of green stuff. Am not into this color when it comes to stuff. But what i love about green is because i love nature. I am just so amazed by God's creations. I also love this color preferably lavender. Here's my fave purple dress:

If you have already read my previous gt posts, you may have probably know that my fave color is RED aside from Pink.  Most of my stuffs if not in pink they're in Red esp. when it comes to clothing and fashion accessories.

 

Girls Talk- Emotionally

I'm a very transparent person when it comes to my emotions. It's like saying what you see is what you get. You'll know when i'm happy, sad or mad. I'm just not good at hiding my true feelings. No matter how i try, it still show. I laugh when i'm happy, frown when i'm sad and mad. I even tend to yell and throw away things when i'm really in a fume. Gggrrr!

I'm very impatient, short-tempered and hasty. I don't like repeating things or words over and over again. I'm tough and hard as a rock. But i can be emotional when it comes to my family and very close friends. I'm not a crybaby. Though i cry over a sad movies at times. I don't easily forget and forgive on condition that i'm deeply hurt.

Generally speaking, i get more emotional and a tendency of mood swings particularly before and during my monthly period. Women thing that is!

So now, you'll probably know me already... emotionally.

Girls Talk-Spiritually

Since i spent my four years in high school at an all-girls Catholic school taken cared by nuns, i can say that it really had influence me when it comes to my spiritual life. There, we prayed a lot, had a regular catechism, read the bible/lives of saints, prayed the Angelus, station of the cross, attended mass every Sunday, prayed the rosary, have a scheduled confession and sing praises to God. I used to be a choir member then and we sang religious songs.

But after i graduated, those religious routine have been slowly diminished. But it doesn't mean to say that i already have forgotten about the teachings i learned from that school. I have taught my kids to pray before going to bed and say a prayer before and after meal. I still do attend mass every Sunday with my family, do a silent prayer before going to bed and after waking up. But i admit i don't pray the rosary that often.

I may not be a religious person but i still do my duties as a real Catholic. I place God above anything else. And i thank HIM for all the blessings i got everyday and turn to Him whenever i feel so down. God is good. Always. And He never abandons. Just have faith and He'll never put us down.

GirlsTalk- Practicality in me!

I know i've been super late for this meme. But it's better late than never..hihi

So here's my late entry:

It's money talk. As a stay at home mom, i'm proud to say that i can at least earn a few extra moolah from working at home. I got odesk, selling different stuffs, paper artworks etc. I'm not earning big from these ones but at least i'm earning at my own risk. Im really serious about being independent when it comes to money and not just rely on my hubby's remittance.

Eversince we got married, he would never allow me to work away from home. He just wants me to take care of our kids. And i guess, it's really the best thing for me to do since the kids are only young once and i don't want to miss any milestones of them upon growing up. And i don't have any regrets for doing so.

When it comes to handling money, i can be a one day millionaire. But i can also be so tight. Most of the time, I practice practicality. I don’t buy designer stuffs for myself. Well, except if they’re on SALE :) The ones that I already have were from hubby and some are gifts. I regret spending on those high-priced items even if I want it. I would rather save the money for my kids or for something really special. I’m just really thankful for what I already have now. At least we’re being stable… financially. Thanks be to God and to my very hardworking husband.

GirlsTalk- My Kikay Kit

We girls are really vain esp. when it comes to beauty. And am guilty of that.

Hubby used to tell me, " you don't need those make ups on coz you're already beautiful."

Ahem!... haha Yeah, i know natural beauty is still the best. But working on a beauty rituals is somewhat my kind of thing. For a customary look, i just had this pretty simple steps which is to dab a little powder on my oily face, curl my long eyelashes, put some little color on my lips and cheeks then off i go. I don't like heavy make ups on. Because i still want to look pretty natural. And just to make sure that i don't look horrible whenever I'm out.
